Wednesday Night Worship: Come early for Happy Half Hour to meet new and old friends!
SOUP: Every Monday at noon Shared Observations, Utterances, and Perspectives - free homemade soup and lively discussion every Monday at noon. Choir Rehearsal: Every Monday at 7pm Choir rehearsal occurs every Monday at 7pm. Anyone who likes to sing or play an instrument is welcome! High Coffee: Every Tuesday at 2pm Come for coffee, tasty treats, and conversation with the LCC staff every Tuesday at 2pm. Social Concerns Lunch: Every Thursday at noon A free spaghetti lunch and great discussion or guest speaker every Thursday. Gaudeamus: 1st Friday of every month at 4:30pm A wine and cheese social for grad students, faculty and staff every first Friday of the month. Remember to bring a food or drink item to share! Luther Memorial Brunch: 2nd Sunday of every month at 11:45am Luther Memorial Church (next door to the LCC) hosts a free brunch to college students after their 10:30am service on the 2nd Sunday of every month. SHOE: 3rd Friday of every month at noon Something Holy for the Overly Educated. Discussion group for Grad students with a light lunch provided. Free Sunday Supper: 4th Sunday of every month at 5pm Sign up ahead of time for this free home-cooked meal the 4th Sunday of every month! Girl Talk: Saturday, January 23rd - Sunday, January 24th This annual event is geared towards 7th and 8th grade girls and is hosted by the Women of the LCC. Theological Conference: Building an Ethical Economy: Thursday, January 28th and Friday, January 29th This two day conference is open to people of all faiths and will be held in the Great Hall at Luther Memorial Church (1021 University Ave, Madison, WI). The conference starts at 8am and ends at 4pm on Thursday and 4:15pm on Friday. Cost is $10 for students or $45 for non-students which includes lunch. Register online at www.luthermem.org or by calling (608)258-3166. Mardi Gras at the YWCA: Tuesday, February 16th time TBA Celebrate Mardi Gras by making crafts with children living at the YWCA. Ash Wednesday Service : Wednesday, February 17th at 5:30pm and 9:00pm The LCC will have two worship services on Ash Wednesday! Relay for Life: Friday, April 16th - Saturday, April 17th Every year, the LCC's Relay for Life team collects pledges and then walks throughout the night in the Camp Randall Sports Center (The Shell). Proceedes go to the American Cancer Society for Cancer Research. Spring Banquet: Friday, April 30th Come to the annual Spring Banquet! Hors d'oeuvres served at 5:30pm, dinner at 7:00pm, entertainment and dancing to follow! Fancy dress requested! Bethel Spring Fling Picnic: Sunday, May 9th at 5pm on the LCC terrace Come be nourished for the begining of finals week with this annual picnic hosted by the Bethel Campus Ministry Committee. Finals Week Study Haven: Sunday, May 9th - Saturday, May 15th During finals week the LCC will be open extended hours to accommodate students' studying needs. Coffee and snacks will be provided! Boundary Waters Canoe Trip: May 17th - May 23rd This annual trip to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area will occur after spring graduation. More information to come! |
