I am a junior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison with no declared major but looking towards a major in the environmental studies department.  I grew up in the little, but beautiful, Green Lake, Wisconsin.  My home church, Grace Lutheran, is in the neighboring town of Ripon.  I am the only child in my family and I have one cousin that is also a sophomore at the UW.  When I do get some free time away from school or my jobs back home as a bellman at the Heidel House Resort, I like to play or watch a wide variety of sports.  During the winter I love to snowboard, and hunt.  I also enjoy playing video games and attending concerts.

Hi, my name is Carlie Bence and I'm a senior majoring in Elementary Education and minoring in both Spanish and English Language Arts. In my free time I like to do crafts, play the piano, scrapbook, and be outdoors. I enjoy the camaraderie of the LCC and find it is a great place to meet new people. If anyone has suggestions for the newsletter I would greatly appreciate the input!

Hey my name is Jamie Lamers and I'm from Appleton, WI. I'm a senior in the Business School, majoring in Finance. I'm also majoring in English, which is a really random second major but it works! During the semester I teach dance to little kids with MSCR, which is more of a hobby than a job. I love to watch sports, but unfortunately I'm far too uncoordinated to play them. I live for Wisconsin football and go to every Packer game I possibly can. I'm also a huge fan of auto-racing. Whether it's watching my brother or dad or watching NASCAR on TV, I love it! I'm taking over as Outreach chair this year, and if anybody has ideas for events I would love to hear them!

I'm Kristin Zorn and I'm a junior studying biochemistry and plan to go to Medical School. I live in Pewaukee, WI and grew up in West Allis, WI.  I love musicals and singing and have an obsession with High School Musical.  I also love country music and Grey's Anatomy.  I am crazy but that just makes life more interesting and I like to talk A LOT!  I believe that God has a plan for my future and know that everything happens for a reason and fully intend to live life to the fullest.

Hey guys! My name is Brittany Torud and I'm from Altoona, WI, although my home church is St. John's in Eau Claire.  I am excited to be majoring in Elementary Education with a minor in English Language Arts starting in the Spring of '11.  I love kids (and babies!) and am blessed to have a nephew and niece that I love way too much.  My favorite places to be are at the LCC laughing with friends, "up north" in a lawn chair on the lake, at home with my family, or sitting at a sports venue cheering for my teams!  I have a huge passion for all things Wisconsin, namely sports and stubborn Norwegians.  I also love to bake and sing country music (poorly), sometimes simultaneously.  I will be in charge of communicating with you this year, so don't be afraid to communicate back! :)

Hello everyone! My name is Casey Ulrich and I am a junior studying secondary math education. I am originally from Rudolph, WI and love small towns, weird how I ended up in Madison. I still love Madison and love the LCC. The LCC has some of the greatest people around and I enjoy every minute of being around them. I am the Hospitality chair this year and I suppose that means I have to be hospitable. I’m a very outgoing person and may come on a little strong, but just let me know what I can do to make the LCC more appealing to new friendly faces. I look forward to year full of activities, worship, and meeting new people! Join us at 5:00pm every week for Happy Half Hour. It’s a great chance to meet the people that you see in worship. Hi everybody.  I’m a senior in Biochemistry and I’ve been bumming around the LCC all four years I’ve been here and I’ve loved every minute of it.  I was born and raised just a few miles away on the west side of Madison and in the 21 years of my life I’ve made it all the way over here.  If you see me walking in to worship late, sweaty and smelly it’s because I just finished with marching band practice and raced over to catch the second half of Brent’s sermon.  Besides band, class and LCC things, I like to run, bike and swim (usually in that order).  Also, I’m a huge geek and love playing all manner of card/board games.

Hi!  I’m Sarah Monette, a graduate student in atmospheric and oceanic sciences.  Basically, I study the weather, which I have loved my entire life.  This summer I got the chance to go storm chasing, which was the thrill of a lifetime.  We were 5 miles from a tornado, close enough to see it but far enough away to be safe. When the weather turns cold and there are no tornadoes to chase, I turn my attention to sports.  I love watching football (Go Badgers!) and have spent more money the past 2 years on football and hockey tickets than actual text books (just because I already had to necessary books for class).
